Portmeirion Botanic Garden Tea Cup and Saucer, Set of 6 Price and Description:
Review Inspired by 19th century botanical illustrations, artist Susan Williams Ellis has produced a really distinctive mix and match collection for Portmeirion. Intended in 1972, Botanic Garden features more than 30 different floral and butterfly designs, with new designs joining the collection on a regular base. Each scene was painstakingly reproduced by hand with every detail beautifully rendered. Butterflies flutter about, flowers bend in the breeze, and a distinctive leaf border may be found on each item in the collection. This lovely 12 piece set will include six 7 ounce tea cups and six agreeing 6 inch saucers. The bowl of each small cup is adorned with a different flower motif and a medley of butterflies, while the signature leaf pattern borders the edge of each saucer. The decorative flower clusters include: cinquefoil, common vetch, harebell, herb robert, sweet violet, and white campion. The Botanic Garden collection incorporates a full line of coordinating table settings, bakeware, serving things, and giftware. They are considerably smaller than the set i bought in England . I think maybe six ozs rather than twelve ozs. And clearly the saucers are smaller too.

I kept the product but was largely disappointed. The cup size should be printed, and in fact they cost more than the bigger ones. The price was high overall, as i found them cheaper in a store near home.

Internet shopping learning curve for me indeed.

The plates, which only have six flowers at any given time have had many flowers offered over the years. They downsized the tureen. Luckily, many discontinued things can still be found if one searches hard enough.

This is a new “traditional” style tea cup in a 7oz. They’re trying to create something more fragile than the conventional heavy stoneware. It replaces the last 7oz romantic traditional form and the original drum form tea cups. (the original tea pot was drum form too.) They discontinued the coffee cup that was 9oz; “Breakfast cup”, 12oz (same saucer size as the gravy boat); and Latte cup, 20oz. (my daughter likes it for cereal/soup.)

I’m giving this a three only because I am not sure if I am going to keep them or send them back and search for the older romantic shaped, heavier stoneware (and more expensive) tea cups.

These cups aren’t big and a bit pricey. But I looked for a bit special present, it was the one. Cups are cute and precious. It can be a smart idea to look at them at your local store before to make a choice.

But considering the volume of air this thing pushes through it, it is a warranted total of sound. Once you get ducts\filters or whatever installed, it is no more deafening than any other 400 CFM fan. Others may be a little quieter while no accessories are attached but when you want a quality product that will run forever, Hydrofarm is just a no brainer.

Mine was chugging along, 24 hours a day, seven days a week, 365 days a year(for the last two years) and it works just as good as the day I pulled it out of the box.

Excellent fan and I dont have problems recommending them to anybody who wants to move a just total of air.

(REAL NAME) () This review is from: Hydrofarm Active Air six inch In Line Fan 400 CFM (Kitchen) Yes, it’s deafening. I sleep with one running 24/7 about 15 feet from my ears. I put it in the cardboard box it came with, put some holes in there for 6″ ducting, then filled that sucker with packing peanuts and the fan itself is nearly silent. The sound is really the reverberations through the ducting, which is still comparatively deafening, but by no means unbearable. I find it assists me sleep at night and the white sound really may be many worse. Like deafening scratching hard disks. At least this produces a constant sound easy to disregard.

Like any white sound, it’ll get in the way with all other sound resources so put speakers or whatever closer to you than the fan or you will NEVER be able to hear them :)

I have heard putting this man on 1/2 power with a fan controller cuts down 80 of the sound, if it really is an issue go purchase the $30 fan controller is recommending to you lol.

By Jacob See all my reviews () This review is from: Hydrofarm Active Air six inch In Line Fan 400 CFM (Kitchen) Everyone complaining about the sound are far to picky, its a big fan it pushes alot of air it makes a little sound, you may be able to go pay far more for a six inch vortex and itll still be deafening. Honestly it is really not that bad, Im in the same room as it, after putting ducting on it it is really not that deafening and I dont have problem with it. Moves a ton of air, Im using it in my 3×3 tent and am easily able to manage the temps now. I did purchase a speed controller with it (The speedster works no problem with this fan) but I end up running it at full blast most of the time anyways.

No complaints far, could recommend this product.

(REAL NAME) This review is from: Cuisinart 66 14 Chef’s Classic Nonstick Hard Anodized 14 Piece Cookware Set (Kitchen) I’m an avid home chef & treasure high quality cookware. They are great! they’re thinner (but harder) than many brands, which I really love. Lower heat settings may be used for comparable results in other cookware, which saves energy, money, & seriousness of burns if the user is accident prone.

Some things to know:

1. These pans are intended to be hung on a rack. Hanging does save your cookware from many of those small injuries caused to them by stacking.

2. The Quantanium non stick finish is like Teflon on steroids! I use about 1/4 the oil/butter I usually used in the older variants of Teflon. As mentioned above, a lower heat setting is needed. They are easy to clean (except the stainless steel “buttons” where the handles are attached everything sticks well there).

3. Though they say “Metal Utensil Safe”, DON’T! Save the metal utensils for your cast iron & stoneware.

4. Non stick cooking spray tends to eat finish on pans. Preserve them by washing well with soap & water once they’re cool. TIP: NEVER, EVER put a sizzling hot pan in water or dump cool water into it! This causes warping that just ruins the pan. Move the pan to an unused burner & let it cool naturally before washing.

5. With the small steamer put, never fill the pan over one inch above the bottom of the put. With the stockpot put, two inches. This may be pushed to almost 3, but the mess from overfilling is big.

6. Enjoy & care for these pans! You will not ever have to purchase replacements for them as long as you do not abuse them.

I was firstly more interested in buying Circulon Elite, but I was not too happy with the sizes offered in the set. Nevertheless I’m very happy that I bought this set instead and here is why.

The price is great! This is a high quality product! There are 14pc included and they’re all in useable sizes, the only extra thing you many need is a 12″skillet, but I have been good without one so far. The four quart saute pan is wonderful!!! And I totally love the steamer basket, that was a big selling point for me because I steam veggies everyday! I’m impressed with everything about these pots and pans! The non stick finish was lasting so far, and very easy to clean. They cook evenly with no hot spots, etc. One vital thing be aware of that makes this set different than most other hard anodized cookware, is that they are made with an aluminum core. So they have a hard anodized outside and a non stick interior, but the aluminum core makes them a pretty bit lighter in weight to most other merchandise. I think about this to be a positive thing, I do not have to break my wrist washing a pan. But if you use your pans as weapons, think about something else. =) The outside finish is awesome, its a smooth hard anodized finish and easy to preserve. Another review complained about the outside, that “it looked cheap and no matter how she cleaned them they looked bad”. Well, she’s crazy!!! These look awesome!!! The clear lids are useful, though they do tend to get hot so using a rag when lifting is wise. But handles on the pans seem to stay cool, no problem.

Anyway, if you’re considering this cookware and are comparing it to costly brands, then save your money! You won’t be disappointed with this purchase!

We were happy to replace out cheap, flaky, old mishmash of pots and pans. But we noticed the 3qt pot was misshapen, so much so that the cover would not fit. I called Cuisinart and they said if I send it in, they could look at it and attempt to replace it in 4 6 WEEKS. When I called Amazon, they said they could simply send another set and have me exchange out and return the problem piece(s). When I got the new set from today, less than 48 HOURS afterward, the 3qt pot is only somewhat wonky. The cover will fit, but it’ll I can see through the space between the cover and the pot lip. While I’m sitting here pondering if I should send everything back and move on to another brand, I see that the 1st set we got has obvious small chipping on the pot lip. It has been used ONCE and was hung ONCE with the other pots and pans and already has chipping. I think I’m done with Cuisinart. Kudos for buyer support.
